I though the Analysis was the most difficult part according to the ADDIE model, but I have realized that the design is really time consuming if you really want to promote learning.
There are some important aspects I have considered:
1-The Learning outcome already set in the analysis most be translated into course content, resources and approaches to teaching and learning for the students.
2- The learners should be provided with a variety of learning activities that accommodate different learning styles to help them to achieve the leaning outcomes.
3- I need to link my course to the necessary online resources such as public libraries etc.
4- The content most be developed from simple to complex.
5- The learners most be provided with on feedback in order to monitor their learning.
I will be back soon.
Hi Gise,
ReplyDeleteI think so too. The design appears very challenging. But I wonder how much detail is required.
Christine
It is not easy to come up with a good learning design, but I am positive that all of you will have something of quality at the end of the process.
ReplyDeleteIf you keep it simple, then the exercise of design becomes more containable. As long as you can describe your thinking around the different phases or processes, then it shows that you have thought about the issues, and this should lead to a good learning experience.
A lot of the design issues actually happens inside your head as you are thinking and planning on what to do in a specific course or teaching a specific group of people a particular subject.
Try and go through all the phases quite quickly and then return to build some concepts out a bit more.
Please see my post on the central blog - it should provide some encouragement.
